Sources for ``Mystical Symphony''

The primary source for this book is the Bible, the Holy Scripture, the ``Word of God''.

But the Bible as a book can be read by humans as any other book and can be interpreted in a purely human way. Such an interpretation however would miss the essential point, i.e. the revelation of God Himself. The Bible has to be interpreted in the spirit of the ``Word of God'', the ``Holy Spirit''.

The ``Word of God'', who ``became flesh and lived among us'' (Jn1,4), has promised to guide His Church through the Holy Spirit and to keep her in His Truth until the end of time: ``I shall ask the Father, and He will give you another Paraclete to be with you for ever, the Spirit of Truth.'' (Jn14,16). This is the reason why the ``Mystical Symphony'' has as secondary source the traditional teaching of the Church.

In Movement Alpha: Who is God? we follow closely the ``Fundamentals of Catholic Dogma'' by Dr. Ludwig Ott [*] in the interpretation of the Holy Scripture.

In the other movements the interpretation of the Word of God follows members of the Church, monks and nuns of contemplative monasteries, who have devoted their entire lives to meditate the Word of God.

Among these are to be mentioned primarily anonymous Carthusian monks [*] [*] and St. John of the Cross [*] [*]. The latter has been declared by the Church as the ``Doctor Mysticus'', i.e. the authentic teacher in matters of mystical [*] theology.
