God the Son

``The Word became flesh, He lived among us, and we saw His glory, the glory that He has from the Father as the only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.''

-- Jn1,14

For to which of the angels did God ever say:
``You are My Son, this day I have begotten You''? Or again:
``I will be a father to Him, and He shall be a son to Me''?
And again, when He leads the first-born into the world,
He says: ``Let all the angels of God worship Him.''
Of the angels He says: .... but of the Son:
``Your throne, O God,
stands forever and ever.''
-- Heb1,5-8a

Everything has been entrusted to Me by My Father,
and no one knows the Son except the Father,
just as no one knows the Father except the Son
and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him.
-- Mt11,27

The Father and I are One.
-- Jn10,30

For as the Father has life in Himself,
so He has granted the Son also
to have life in Himself.
-- Jn5,26

Thus, as the Father raises the dead and gives them life,
so the Son gives life to any one He chooses;
for the Father judges no one;
He has entrusted all judgment to the Son,
so that all may honour the Son
as they honour the Father.
-- Jn5,21-23a

In the beginning was the Word:
the Word was with God
and the Word was God.
He was with God in the beginning.
Through Him all things came into being,
not one thing came into being except through Him.
-- Jn1,1-3

The Word became flesh,
He lived among us,
and we saw His glory,
the glory that He has from the Father
as the only Son of the Father,
full of grace and truth.
-- Jn1,14

He came to His own
and His own people did not accept Him.
But to those who did accept Him
He gave the power
to become children of God,
to those who believe in His name
who were born not from human stock
or human desire
or human will,
but from God Himself.
-- Jn1,11-13

Philip said:
`Lord, show us the Father
and we shall be satisfied.'
Jesus said to him
`Have I been with you all this time, Philip,
and you still do not know Me?
Anyone who has seen Me
has seen the Father,
so how can you say ``Show us the Father''?
Do you not believe
that I am in the Father
and the Father is in Me?'
-- Jn14,8-10a

At many moments in the past
and by many means,
God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets;
but in our time, the final days,
He has spoken to us
in the person of His Son,
whom He appointed heir of all things
and through whom He made the ages;
He is the reflection of God's glory
and bears the impress of God's own being,
sustaining all things by His powerful command.
-- Heb1,1-3a

If our gospel seems to be veiled at all,
it is to those, who are on the way to destruction,
the unbelievers
whose minds have been blinded by the god of this world,
so they cannot see shining
the light of the gospel of Christ,
who is the image of God.
-- 2Co4,4

All I have is Yours
and all You have is Mine.
-- Jn17,10a

He is the image of the unseen God.
-- Col1,15

Amen, amen, I say to you,
before Abraham came to be,
I AM.
-- Jn8,58
